DynaWares' DynaNames v1.0
Removes Illegal Characters from and checks the Length of all File Names in a Folder. Version: 1.0 for Windows, all versions
FREE - FREEWARE shareware
Recently I decided to compile a music disc for use in my car. I ripped a few CDs into .wma files and compiled my disc. Although the disc played fine on my computer and a portable player, it would not play in my car. It would only report a “COMM ERROR”.
I discovered that the file names contained many characters that the player in my car would not recognize. Rather than rename all the files by hand, I wrote DynaNames. It worked wonderfully and so does my “Oldies” disc of .wma files. I hope you enjoy using DynaNames, Alan
